Can you Imagine

There is no religious freedom when authorities are forced to delegate to what extent our freedom of religion can be exercised.
Majority rules in a democracy. When we vote, majority rules. If 1% of the population does not like what the other 99% has to say....do we bow to the 1%? When we place our votes during an election do we go with the majority or the minority?
It does not matter what religion each of us identifies with. It matters that everyone, regardless of their religious beliefs should have the freedom to express those beliefs, publicly or otherwise....thus our rights guaranteed under the constitution for "Freedom of Religion". The same goes for those that choose to remain free of any religious beliefs....it is their right to make that decision.
No one can deny that Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Christ. It is what it is. If some choose to make it a 'holiday' for the purpose of buying gifts then so be it. But those same people have no right to remove Christmas from the meaning of the day for the rest of us. Just as I wouldn't take someone to court for refusing to put up a Christmas tree or for saying "Happy Holiday" instead of "Merry Christmas", no one should demand the opposite from those of us who prefer to recognize the day for what it is.
I welcome other religions to display their beliefs so that we can all learn and accept one another's choices. No one should feel they have to keep their religious convictions behind closed doors but that is what is being forced on most of us.
If there is respect for differences in religion then there is no harm done and therefore, no reason to fix what isn't broken.. By restricting our freedom of religion to private property only, we are opening the doors to more bias. Where does it end? Churches are public....will they eventually be forced to remove the crosses from the steeple and the advertisement of services from newspapers or the signs from their lawns. It is going to far and will continue unless the majority demand their rights under the constitution.
Leave religion alone and go after real crimes instead.
I am not suggesting that you, Chuck, are wrong in your beliefs or that you should not express those beliefs. I also would expect the same respect that I can freely express mine. If someone wants to call their tree a "holiday tree" then fine but don't try to stop me from calling my tree a "Christmas Tree". I would not protest the placement of a "holiday tree" or a sign stating such but I would also expect the same right to display a "Christmas Tree" and a sign stating such if I wished to do so. It works both ways

Sorry, Ladies,
But the government can function without doing anything to support or promote religion on the people's property.
It's a fact of life that evangelical and fundamentalist governments have always been the most racist and bigoted and we certain don't need any more of them.
The people in government are free to pursue they're religist freedoms on their own time..off the time clock.
The U.S. constitution guranantees a seraration of church and state..in order to protect our religious freedoms.
Afterall, the original colonist fled Europe to escape religious persecution for being of one sect or another, and we don't want anything to do with that in America.
There's plenty of opportunity for everyone to express thier feelings about Christ, or Whomever away from government property, on their own time, on their own property.
So......Merry Christmas, God Bless You, Happy Hoidays and Seasons Greetings.

Can You Imagine....?

What if immigrants could only come into this country legally?
What if the majority of our goods we purchased were made in the United States of America?
Would there be more jobs available in the United States?
Would there be less junk in our homes and our children's toychests if we paid more for quality "Made in the USA" products instead of importing so much of what is available for sale on our store shelves? Would walk-in closets become obsolete for most of us? What would we put in them?
In my resolve not to purchase goods made in China (because they are trying to kill us) I ended up with very few items in my cart. I could not find a box of Christmas cards in either of two retail discount stores I shopped in that was not made in China. So guess what, if you are waiting for a Christmas card for me, it may be my own personal design on recycled paper. Of course, then I will need to check where my ink cartridge came from....and my printer. Well, I already own the printer and I don't think China will give me a refund but no more made in China stuff for me.
I wonder if I will get fewer gifts since trying to find a gift for me just got a lot more difficult.
Merry Christmas and May God Bless America because In God We Trust.

These opinions are my own and I am entitled to them.

I am so irritated that small minority groups can tell the majority what we can do and what we cannot. I am not going to say "Happy Holidays"...I am going to say "Merry Christmas and God Bless You". If Jesus is the Reason for the Season then why can't we say so? If not for the birth of Christ, there would be no Christmas and therefore, no "holiday". Brings it all back to "Merry Christmas". I think we should all email, write or call or state representatives, congress, senate, etc...and all of our community leaders to tell them how we feel. I will not purchase one single thing from any organization that tells employees not to say "Merry Christmas". It will be a challenge this year to come up with gifts since I am also not going to purchase anything from China either. Bring our jobs back to the USA!!!

THE LAW IS THE LAW

So if the US government determines that it is against the Law for the words "under God" to be on our money, then, So be it.
And if that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments" Are not to be used in or on a Government installation, then, So be it.
I say," so be it," because I would like to be a Law abiding US citizen. I say,"so be it," because I would like to think that Smarter people than I are in positions to make good decisions.
I would like to think that those people have the American public's best interests at heart.
BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?
Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot post his Commandments in Government buildings , I don't believe the Government and its Employees should participate in the Easter and Christmas Celebrations which honor the God That our government is eliminating from many facets of American life. I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter. After all, it's just another day.
I'd like the" US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as Well as Sundays." After all, it's just another day.
I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives To not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break." After all it's just another day.
I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter. It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other Day of the week to a government that is trying to be "politically correct."

In fact.... I think that our government should work on Sundays (initially set aside for worshipping God...) because, after all, our government says that it should be just another day....

What do you all think????

If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected Officials will stop giving in to the "minority opinions" And begin, once again, to represent the "majority" Of ALL of the American people. SO BE IT.......... Please Dear Lord, Give us the help needed to keep you in our country! 'Amen' and 'Amen' Touch! These are definitely things I never thought about but from now on, I will be sure to question those in Government who support these changes.

Native American Pride

We are an Indian tribe and it should be about Native Americans first.I, in no way, want to promote racism against anyone but the non-Indians have taken care of the non-Indians from the beginning. The Indian had to fight to get back a very small portion of what was theirs/ours in the first place. We have been subject to the agenda of the non-Indian ever since. We should be looking out for us....period. If the employment gap cannot be filled by Indians then, obviously, we must step outside the circle to fill it or provide our unemployed with the necessary skills. When some say that we are not deserving of what the government was forced to give back, I remind myself that it wasn't the Indians that landed here and then proceeded to do whatever it took to claim what wasn't ours to claim. We didn't bring with us, against their will, other humans that were treated like the lowest of God's creatures because they were not white skinned. We did not beat them and force them to work for free. That is where "Native Pride" comes in. We fought only for what was ours to begin with and we are still fighting. We are not being given any extras by the US govt...it was ours to begin with.Trouble is, we have some groups among us that are battling to take it away from the rest of us. Lifetimes ago we shared with each other but now some of our own want it all. Why should we allow it to happen? What a disgrace that we should have to fight our own to take back what belongs to all of us.
Our right to make changes through referendum is the one voice we have left....use it.
