Soo Tribe's commercial casino sees drop in revenues printer friendly
Revenues at the commercial casino owned by the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians fell 7 percent last month.
The Greektown Casino Hotel in Detroit, Michigan, didn't appear to benefit from the NCAA Final Four weekend. The facility was the closest to the games but saw a drop in business during the tournament.
But the other two commercial casinos saw a spike in revenue over the same weekend. However, all three facilities saw a 3 percent drop in March 2009, when compared to March 2008.
Greektown is currently reorganizing in bankruptcy court. The tribe is a majority owner.
