There seems to be zero logic to the scalping of tribal employees by the Chief and his court but there does seem to be a clear relationship between politics, terminations, write-ups based on false accusations, and job eliminations.The “Core Family Tree,” which is currently under construction, will reveal family ties to: those whose needless jobs are safe, who holds the highest paid positions, and to the composition of the election committee. Some believe this plan has been secretly developed over the past several years and that benefits for members who live outside of Unit One will disappear permanently. Keeping non-Unit One members hanging on will keep the government money flowing for the nearly 40,000 members with only a few thousand realizing the benefits.

Let's not blame any one "elected".
The responsibility rest solely with those voters that support them.
Also, the tribe has been a victim of the "core family" agenda and control.
Ballot box manipulation, election violations, an obedient election
committee, negative campaigning, and questionable ethics in the
appellate..............all choreographed with the artistry and
craftiness of a Bouschor...........defeated the Sault Tribe hope.
The tribe was sold out by those few greedy.....mostly white....members.
If you are a quarter than you are three quarters of something else. What
a wasted opportunity.

The ballot fixing antics pulled by the election committee (friends and family of the core)have proven to me that it doesn't amtter what the will of the people may be. This group decides the election prior to the ballots being mailed. The only way to stop this abuse is to get the BIA to hold a secretarial election and get our new constitution passed and in place. Seperation of Powers will kill the dragon.
In some cases, it may be the voters blindly voting for whose picture looks the happiest in the Sault Tribe News. But I dont believe all those thousands of bad ballots were from bad addresses. They are bad because they were filled in by the Mckerchie and Mckechnie for the persons they want on board. They cheated the members and that is nothing new. How do you get the Secretary of Interior to step in. Do we do a petition or what?
