Now, which is it ?
Director Malloy, in her Board Note, has exposed either the inept, incompetent, corrupt, complicit or negligent character of the Sault Tribe Board of Directors.
Now, which is it ?
Do they understand the constitution?
Do they understand the binding authority of referendum?
Do they understand their responsibility to see that the laws are enforced ?
If the answer is "no" to either one.....then they are inept, incompetent and negligent.
If the answer is "yes" to either one....then they are incompetent, corrupt and complicit.
Is this Cathy McCoy Abramson's idea of government?
Does Joe McCoy and Lyin Causley say, "NOT MY PROBLEM"?
The smirk on Bouschor's face is telling of his contempt for Sault Tribe members. It is also the only way that he can hold back the laughter.
The membership has not only been bluffed but they have been hornswoggled, as well.

First, a thank you to DJ Malloy, Unit One Director, is in order. In the latest edition of the Sault Tribe News she addressed the biggest question pending among citizens of the Sault Tribe. Malloy did the research that could support a plan of action not only against Bernard Bouschor's seat on the board but also against those who contributed to the vote of the members being overturned that resulted in Bouschor's 're-election'.
In the article above, Rick Janetos makes several good points related to Director Malloy's findings. Maybe our tribe is moving forward after all. We have made many leaps and bounds with the arrest of Fred Paquin who may be assisting in the removal of the worst of the Sault Tribe. If we stand tall and don't give up, the light at the end of the tunnel may finally burn brightly once again.

Well I am glad to see that Director Malloy is FINALLY stepping up to the plate. I for one was very worried after her last unit report that read like a tribal newsletter rather than a board report.
Ok so what is the big deal here ? Why all the praise heaped on Director Malloy. All she did was report information that we all knew already ! It is old news. What she did not say, once again, is what she plans to do ! Come on Malloy it is time for action.
The answer to the question, "What is Malloy going to do about it?", should be handled carefully.
Also, it shouldn't rest on the shoulders of one Board Director.
Perhaps, in the end, it will have taken a motion..... a second.... a vote.that doesn't include Deb Pine or Bouschor....maybe a petition or a resolution.
Regardless....it needs to be crafted in such a way as to be clear that the will of the people will be heard and it will be law.
Despite the outcome of the upcoming trial.....the referendum, that already past, must be adhered to.
Bouschor should be finished.
What Board members will take responsibility and offer the members some "LEADERSHIP"?
Then Malloy needs to get up and take some action. She can introduce a resolution to uphold the court decision. TELLING us is not a solution and is nothing. We already know this ! We elected her to do something about this issue. As of yet she has not even begun to implement any of her campaign promises. Has she introduced any resultions ? NO. This is not rocket science.
i can't believe that the four previous responses are so negative about Malloy. yes we would all appreciate swift action, but the membership has tolerated the corruption of board members for a very long time and should be as patient with the new member who at the very least seems to be thoughtfully attempting to right the wrongs of the past. for one member to courageously be fighting for the whole tribes well being i say thank you and god speed.
Director Malloy has took the lead on doing what is right. It's not about winning the money off Bernard. It's about holding someone accountable for stealing from us. It's about putting to end the embedded corruption that has existed in our tribe for years thanks to Bernard at the helm. Even our own chief of police has to go. Now that we have the momentum, our tribal members must speak up and do what we can to rid our tribe of corruption!
Director Malloy has took the lead on doing what is right. This case not about winning the money BACK from Bernard. It's about holding someone accountable for stealing from us. It's about putting to end the embedded corruption that has existed in our tribe for years thanks to years of Bernard at the helm. Even our own chief of police has to go. Now that we have the momentum, our tribal members must speak up and do what we can to rid our tribe of corruption!
But more things need to be done.
