Denny McKelvie voting video

The Sault Tribe of Sugar Island
and Anyone Else That We Want Indians

If you listen closely to what McKelvie says in this video,
you will realize that he did not think things through before
he started talking.

At one point, he states that 'only those who were members of
the tribe at the time the first constitution was voted on
can vote on the amended Constitution'.

How many people were actually members of the tribe at the
time the first constitution was voted on? If that is true then
this means that anyone, born after the first Constitution cannot
vote...correct?

Also if you became a member of the Sault tribe during some open
enrollment period and are entitled to be a member of the Sault
tribe because you descend from one of the original bands but did
so after the first Constitution was voted on, then according to
McKelvie you are not eligible to vote....at least, not according
to his interpretation.

Sounds to me like Denny is trying to eliminate more than the
Mackinac Bands. Sounds to me like the Sault tribe is headed
towards a name change...The Sault Tribe of Sugar Island
and Anyone Else That We Want Indians

McKelvie has been getting money in Detroit.

Our right to make changes through referendum is the one voice we have left....use it.
