TODAY IS EARTH DAY

The Mackinac Bands of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians wants to
remind you that everyday should be Earth Day and each of us
has a responsiblity to do our part.

Everything you do as an individual counts. You can be responsible for
destroying this Earth and the future of your children, grandchildren
and their children or you can be responsible, as an individual, to save
this Earth for future generations.

If you don't know how to recycle or what to recycle, take the time to
find out.

Refuse those plastic grocery bags and ask for paper or bring your own.
Cloth bags are simple to make or buy a few and then keep them in your
car so there are no excuses.

Stop using lawn weed killers...embrace those dandelions. If you don't
like them, dig them up. Those chemicals in weed killers as well as
pesticides are killing bees, frogs, fish, birds and all living things.
Those poisons recycle themselves back into the food chain and water
supply and will kill you too.

If you don't do your part now to protect Mother Earth, she will not
protect you.

Reuse Recycle and make everyday Earth Day
