Director Pine / A Crafty Legislator?

Sault Ste. Marie, Mi...The information packets given out to board members at the closed session asking them to drop the 7+1 case were collected by legal and directors were not allowed to keep any of them.

Interesting...was this the follow through of a crafty plan by a crafty tribal legislator to get her mother, Jolene Graham, and her mother's first cousin, director Bouchour, off the hook, allowing them to keep the unauthorized money they took from the tribe, or was it a legal issue?

Very likely it was the first...getting them off the hook? If so, it must have taken a lot of planning and coordination. And just possibly a little help from somewhere else, the chairman, perhaps, somebody in legal, director Bouchour? Somebody else...?

At any rate, this is a worst case example of a tribal director doing what amounts to taking the law into their own hands, and trying to litigate a lawsuit in a political forum instead of in a court of law where it belongs. Fortunately, the board of directors saw through what she was doing and struck her down...voting unanimously to forbid her to participate in any more discussion on the issue, and disqualifying her from any future vote on it.

Thank you, Charles Forgrave

Apparently you do not realize that Deb Pine was born with a 'tribal spoon'in her mouth. These 'spoons' are available only to core family members who are then entitled, from birth, to all the bennies, freebies and special treatment that cronyism, nepotism and favoritism can get them! Has Deb Pine already gotten her share ? Or is it an endless pot of honey ? Word is that she got prefential treatment when she was in art school. Apparently the tribe was no longer funding out of state, private schools at the time that Deb set her eyes on some private school in the southwest. Thankfully her auntie was on the education committee at the time and word is that Deb got a free ride, which only those with the 'spoons' could get. Will Princess Pine take off her crown and deal with the commoners ?

Deb was spoiled from the get go. As a young teenager Bernard gave her jobs while he quashed others capable. Deb thinks Bernard is a hero and cannot understand Bernard has rape the tribe. Her protection of Bernard is like the way someone protects their abuser.

So when did Princess Pine suddenly become oh so 'traditional' ? My recollection of her is that she was a party hardy girl who threw on that shawl at pow wow time and then dropped it afterwards.

as a down state tribal member i check on the tribe's activities daily. it never ceases to amaze me how these entitled members get away with felonious actions without the membership demanding accountability and retribution. come on members, get some gonads and bring down the good ole boy network.

Have you noticed that he good ole boy network has been unraveling at a much more rapid pace since the beginning of 2010? There are a few members who have relentlessy stood up and spoke against all the tribal leaders who have abused their power, lined their pockets and generally pissed away millions of dollars that rightfully belongs to the entire tribe not just a few.

Some of the good ole boys have been voted out and tribal members did it. Hopefully the new ones won't fall into complacency and just go along with the self centered Board members who seem to think they are entitled.

This is just the beginning of the end to the good ole boys. If you really beleive and want to speak out effectively and stand in support shoulder to shoulder with the members who have spoken out then sign your name instead of anonymous.

Send the message to the board that we are no longer going to tolerate the retaliation that has hurt so many innocent members.

I would like our Board of Directors to show Tribal members the document that Deb Pine gave them in closed session. Why was this document collected and given back to Deb Pine? This type of behavior and these actions only tell Tribal citizens that Board members are allowed to use their position or seat for their personal and family interests and to hell with the membership. Deb Pine and Bernard Bouschor who so flagrantly taunt and insult the intelligence of tribal citizens with their words in their unit reports both need to be escorted to the tribal door and thrown out for sedition. They say they want to stop the closed door meetings-well put your money where your mouth is and show us the document.

It sounds as is Tribal Legal was trying to save Princess Pine from herself. The tribe, represented by the Board, is in litigation with Bernard and the others. In walks a Board member with a settlement proposal. Now can anyone really be that simple minded ? Or arrogant ?
We really need to see if these actions constitute violation of the oath of office.

Good point on the legal actions and Oath of Office...worth looking into because Pine is obviously not there to work for the Unit she was 'elected' to represent. She is obviously there as a Bernard Bouschor puppet to get him out of his legal troubles.
My prediction, it's only a matter of time,BB, and Pine will be removed because she isn't bright enough to stay out of trouble.

Where did she get the money to buy Willobees? So her husbands a vet and she was probably overpaid in her job but still. A little help with our money via bernie?

I think her entire job at the tribe was a gift from cuz Bernard. I mean really, she makes posters for casino events....how can that possibly be a full time job ? It is not even a necessary job. Most companies send out to printing companies for these things and the tribe employed a full time, overpaid so called artist to do a couple posters a month ! Get real ! Her job was a gift after the tribe funded her to attend an out of state school when everyone else was told they could not get funded. Sound familiar ? Didn't the tribe also pay for Tony Abramson's graduate degree, even though he is not a tribal member, and then give him a good paying job ? More stench on the Board.

I have heard that several people have tried to contact Princess Pine and she does not return phone calls or emails. That seems to be a pattern. Abramson is the same way. Princess Pine's relatives who were on the Board were the same way too. Pure arrogance. Of course it could be that they just lack the skills to engage in intelligent debate. I am pretty sure that is the case with Abramson. Now what was her nickname ? I seem to recall it was 'box of rocks'.

Our right to make changes through referendum is the one voice we have left....use it.
