Sault Ste. Marie, Mi...Big business developments bring with them the possibility of corruption. Politicians sitting on votes worth millions to businessmen get big dollars for them.
Sometimes the number of dollars involved make the offers unbelievable. They're so big the membership can't wrap its mind around them. Like the Holocaust where the facts were so horrible people that refused to believe them. Or the lies of fascism that had to be true because they were so big and the government had made them.
Reports of influential tribal members receiving offers for their support have surfaced recently. The board was against a casino in Romulus for a long time. Then two wealthy Detroit businessmen competed to develop a tribal casino there and now...in spite of hugely unfavorable terms...the board has voted for it...
...giving rise to rumors of votes being for sale.
