HAPPY NEW YEARS!

Happy New year to you too. We can only hope this new effort to pay Paquin will reveal more incriminating evidence of other board members relationship to his crimes. It does feel strange enough to warrant an investigation and that is what tribal members are calling for upon hearing this outrageous request. Maybe law enforcement will step in to see what is going on. After all, the agreement was for Fred to answer all questions and this sure seems to cause a new question of why is he being paid? I bet Madoff wishes he was a tribal member here.

This 'payoff' certainly does raise the real question of 'why?'. Why have certain directors, those who have always seemed to hold their place on the wrong side of right, chosen to pay the soon to be incarcerated former police chief, Fred Paquin, $18,000 when his contract is null and void. Does the wording in Paquin's contract specifically state that it is null and void as of the date of conviction? He was convicted for the cause of his arrest and suspension.

To the board members who voted to payoff another 18k to that lowlife...Birds of a feather are tethered together.

Our right to make changes through referendum is the one voice we have left....use it.
