A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS

Pictured: The newly resigned and married to someone else, Chairman of the Sault Tribe Joe McCoy and the Vice Chair, Lana Causley who is counting on the appointment to fill McCoy's seat. It seems to me that any votes by Causley that may have been to support a proposal of McCoy's definitely carried a conflict of interest.

It's comical…
…how board members who were not a bit interested in upholding last summer’s secretarial election to separate the chair and the CEO duties to get politics out of the day-to-day operation of the tribe...
...who didn’t say a thing about meeting secretly to borrow $5,000,000.00 to balance the budget and allowed another board member to boast about a projected $5,000,000.00 surplus for the year...
..who haven’t honored a resolution to hold a referendum allowing you to decide whether you wanted the new constitution...or to stay with the old one that is so vague it allows them to get away with everything and you with nothing...

…are now consulting with lawyers at your expense and pouring over every word, phrase, and paragraph in the constitution as though it was sacred, and has to be upheld to the letter at all cost.

Then again, is it comical? Or alternatively, is this what happens when there is a major difference of opinion between the board and the people who they're suppose to represent? Is this the reason why they are often called arrogant, because they think they and not the members themselves know what is best for the tribe?

Yes, it is.

Every time an issue comes along where members themselves want and should be allowed a vote, this board runs to the constitution and hires and consults with lawyers to interpret it and then uses the information to brow beat the members. In between times, they willfully ignore the constitution as though on a whim. Is there any wonder they don't want the new constitution when this one works so well for them. Thank you, Charles Forgrave

Big deal, there are probably many pictures of Board members together at functions all over the place. You can twist anything to fit anyone's wish you would like. Too many people wanting to make something out of nothing. You people need to get a life.

The nineteenth amendment which was passed in 1920 prohibits state and federal agencies from gender-based restrictions on voting. This was a result of women demanding equality for decades all over the world. Women in the US fought to gain equality and continue the 91 year struggle to this day.

Women like Lana as well as those she mentors give the strong independent thinking women who deserve equality a bad name. I for one would not allow her to be a role model for any of the women in my family who I have successfully encouraged to be independent thinkers and educated. In fact I think they could be Lana’s role models.

Step away from the chair Lana

It is time to demonstrate
Not with signs....not with loud cheers or songs....just by you being there.

The Sault Tribe Board of Directors will hold a regular meeting Tuesday, May 24, beginning at 6 p.m.,
at the Kewadin Casino and Convention Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.
The meeting will be preceded by Matters from the Membership at 5 p.m

.Let them know that you, as a member, deserve to be heard and want a special election held to fill that position

This would be a very good time to demonstrate your resolve.

This is an opportune time to show that you care.

Let them know, by your presence, that you are watching your government

No one's twisting anything. It's just a picture. The caption is whatever you think it is and I think the picture shows exactly what the story is.

They look so happy, lovebirds. Anyway Isaac McKechnie is waiting for his Election Orders. Someone in his Dept. said Isaac was thinking about running in a Special Election for the Chair. He could certainly be another figurehead for Bouschor like McCoy did. Politicians of the past can no longer be our Leaders of the future. Not one of them icluding Aaron Payment. So much talent within the Tribe is untapped.

McKechnie wouldn't have the nerve.....
There are hoards of people waiting for their chance to reveal everything they can

I never heard a good thing about Isaac.

Apparently John Causley is freaking out about this picture. Let's get something straight....Joe McCoy was said to have taken the picture using his cellphone so it was he that sent it around. It has also been said that several board members and a lot of other people have had this picture for about a year. Who is to blame?....the two people in the picture who posed, took the picture and sent it to many others.
It's way past time that these two took responsibility for their actions.

Someone who has a degree first of all should be in the top seat. The only thing Lana has ever done was a job at hardees. nothing against people who work there, but come on, would you have someone who was working at hardees take over millions of dollars.

Wonder what Joe's wife said when she saw this? Oh...she made him quit!, so I guess she knew something that we didn't.

Our right to make changes through referendum is the one voice we have left....use it.
