Sault Ste. Marie, Mi...Even while the referendum was underway to reject the new Romulus casino, Chairman McCoy, Boushor and company were hatching a secret deal to include the Sault Tribe's former partner in Greektown, Detroit's Greek millionaire, Mr. Ted Gatzoros.
Thumbing their noses contemptuously at tribal voters, these corrupted leaders went ahead and incorporated Michigan Gaming, Ltd., to get around the referendum's projected outcome. Today they are holding a secret meeting with Gatzarows and Florida millionaire, Mr. Donald Sawark, at a classified, top secret location.
With the help of director's Pine and Causley, Chairman McCoy and Boushor will repackage the same deal...with the same terms and the same investing partners that were recently reject by the membership...and attempt to shove it through again.
Stay tuned...
Thank you, Charles Forgrave

The BOD just keeps it up and never stops. When is it enough? anyone catch 60 minuutes sunday night? The will of the people can be a powerful thing....sometimes the people just have to use that will to accomplish certain goals... By any means necessary.
What happened to the recall petition for Benard Bouschor????
Why is he still allowed to sit on the Board??????????
Why doesn't Cathy Abramson stand up for the people???????????
Charles,
Usually you are a great source of information. But when you start writing things about secret meetings you just lose me. We need reliable information, not hysterical hype. Now if someone on the board actually told you about the meeting we need their name, or better yet, they need to come forward. These cowards on the board who leak information on the side are more concerned with how the board thinks of them than doing what is right for the members. We will never progress until the board grows up .
I have to agree with the 3rd poster. If there are board members who consider something important enough to leak information, than they are not serving the people by being afraid to come out publicly about it. To that director...you are already elected so why are you so afraid? If you speak to the people instead of your fears, you will be re-elected. I think many know me well enough to know that if it were me sitting there, every single wrong, every single impropriety, every single questionable offering/deal-would not be a secret with me. Stand up, for crying out loud, and stop being a chicken or we might think you joined up with the bad guys.
i agree with your theory lynn but i also know that the amberson, mccoy, prickly,bb,pine and causley just makes it tough on the family members look at director chases family new administration her children were fired end of story what is needed is a physical takeover by the membership of the bod members that constantly feel they are entitled.at the very least an oversite committee with positions filled by ELDERS ONLY to direct the bod basically a veto system if the elders feel a resolution is not needed it does not get thru end of story seeing as we constantly want to use their money as collatteral they should have the final say. i am sure there are enough members in the up to walk in and take certian individules out of the building and tell them to never step foot in it again they can not arrest the majority of the membership we forget they work for us including the tribal police
These petitions are costing a lot of money, lets wait to see the deals before jumping to sign, the tribe needs to develop economic opportunities, self-sufficieny is not a worn-out phrase, it is a goal. Deals are as good as the paper and agreements we sign, don't let who is in the deal derail good opportunities
Boushor isn't capable of striking a good deal with Gatzaros, our former partner in Greektown. He's a tribal administrator with little to no business experience in the private sector, and not a businessman anymore than you are, Pine. You people have put the tribe into a deep enough hole alrady. Moreover, the people just voted in the last referendum against dealing with Gatzaros and Boushor for a casino in Romulus, and they will again. You're sneaking around behind their backs and holding secret meetings and renaming the Romulus casino deal clearly demonstrates that none of you have respect for them, or for their constitution; you look contemptuously down your noses at them and exclude them from the process of choosing a business...to invest their money into, providing them with no information about it, and act as if the few of you are the only ones capable of doing it...were that the case, then why is the tribe in debt up to its ears? Why doesn't it still own off-reservation businesses...way has it lost tens of millions of dollars in businesses gone belly up? Self-sufficiency funds is a worn out phrase, it's meaningless rhetoric, restoring slashed services and worker's rights, as promised to the members, is not. Neither is developing an independent self-sustaining tribal ecomony...for the economic well being of members into the forseeable future and beyond. Sure, trust you with the mmebers money, as the elder's did with their land's claims fund...that's what happens when members trust people who have no skin in the game.. like you and the other directors...with their money. You lose it all and afterwards none of you are held accountable for it, or even willing to own up to it.
Thank You, Charles Forgrave
And something else, the referendums are an excellent deal for the membership. Just think of all the tens of millions of dollars that would have been saved had they been used more in the past. Charles Forgrave
